Our solar energy production during September 2013 was not that high, and unless the coming months are very sunny this year will be the darkest year in the existence of our installation.

Of course, we can’t all be located in the Mojave desert, like the Ivanpah facility. Ivanpah is a solar thermal installation, using mirrors to heat water and using the steam to generate electricty; it has just finished the first “sync”, meaning it’s almost ready for production. 170.000 heliostat mirrors in the desert: it must be quite a sight!
