The German Internet market research company Dialego has published the results of a comparative study on Web 2.0 in Germany, France and the UK (in German). Be quick to download the PDF file, or be prepared to register on the site: older studies require you to tell Dialego who you are. What struck me was not so much the evolution between 2006 and 2008, but the fact that the German internaut is less familiar with Web 2.0, yet reads the (German) Wikipedia much more frequently than his French or British collegues. Or should we conclude that it is just the phrase ‘Web 2.0’ that is unknown in Germany, not the interactive use of the Web?
