A Proposal. I’m currently preparing a presentation about the Wiki phenomenon, and I’m using a Simple Standards-based Slide Show System (thank you, Eric Meyer) to support my story. Why S5? Well, you can’t really tell what a tool is worth if you haven’t tried it in a more or less serious task.
In my quest for info about Wiki’s, I found out about TiddlyWiki and its descendants. As I have mentioned two days ago, I really like this tiddly stuff, and I’m fairly sure I’ll be carrying at least one TiddlyWiki on my USB stick. And because a TiddlyWiki is such a neat way of editing an HTML-file, I started wondering: what if you could edit an S5 file (which is an HTML file with supporting Javascript) just like you can edit a TiddlyWiki (which is an HTML file with supporting Javascript)…? I currently don’t have the time to try it out, but I think it would make a good project – just imagine having a tool to edit and show smart presentations in a few multiplatform files of a few dozen KB? Any takers out there?
