AppleScripts from Citizen Strange (

I’m a happy man: I have found an emulator of an advanced Hewlett-Packard calculator for the Mac. It’s called X48, and you can find the Mac version here (
http://www.markus-fritze.de/x48/). Although I have seen a somewhat better looking program – but that was a long time ago – you will not hear me complain: this looks good and real enough, it’s a really advanced calculator, and it’s free! You will need to download the original HP user manual (a link is included in the program) , but be warned: that is a 16 megabyte download you’re looking at. BTW: there are more interesting links for HP Calculator lovers in this application as well.
Re Merlot (see 2001/08/17 ): Although it works, the user interface is not exactly very user friendly – this is not the kind of application you can give to your average secretary to have him create an impeccable XML file. Too bad, but the search goes on.
