On November 22nd, 2009 I discovered that my blog hoster Userland closed down (temporarily?) somehow failed to deliver the expected almost 100% uptime I thought I was paying for. Essentially since then my blog has been periodically out for several weeks at a time.
That left me, with a ten year habit of more or less regular blogging on a single blog, with an itch to scratch – so here I am again! You’ll find the same frequency, subjects, language, etc. over here, for I have decided to set up camp on WordPress.com.
I am trying to recover as much as possible my blog posts from my Userland blog, but that will take time. All my http://nukleos.editthispage.com blog posts before January 2005 and from November 2007 onwards have already been re-published here; the rest will follow as soon as I find the time (and, in some cases, the content!). The word “resurrected” in the header of this blog is there to remind you (and me) of the fact that all posts dated before November 23rd, 2009 are republished from the old blog.
Some (many?) of the links on those old posts will unfortunately point to pages and sites that have disappeared: yes, that’s linkrot. And unfortunately I can’t (always) resurrect those pages!
In the meantime, enjoy the new posts!
